Hello everyone,

I'm sure, like many others on this forum, that some people might recognize my name even if they haven't ever talked to me. I'm a member of most of the communities, even if I don't post often, I mostly stick to Cobraisland. My name is Timothy Mizak, I've been a toy collector since 1995 when I turned ten and began to look for Tiger Force figures I once had. Being a kid and trying to collect was difficult, as ten dollars a week allowance can't compete with a bunch of adults with jobs collecting, so while I've been at it for 15-16 years I still have a ways to go, but I still have quite an impressive collection. I'm a completionist, an army builder, and I love many of the aspects of G.I. Joe itself. I collected Sgt. Savage when RAH ended, and I was a big time fan of the Hall of Fame and Classic Collection figures, so pretty much anything goes for what I like, including ROC.

My personal life is this, I'm 25 right now, I'm recently married and happy to have married the only girl I've ever met who appreciates everything I am, and I am a student working on an MBA. Since I was thirteen I've wanted to be a toy designer, because of toy lines like G.I. Joe and Star Wars, and I do have a degree in Industrial Design. This summer I'm going to make a toy from scratch, right now I'm in the concept stage, in fact I should be doing that right now. My dream job is to work at Hasbro at practically any level. I live in MD, and I started in Western MD where there is nothing but mountains, I've lived in Baltimore for college, and now I'm fifteen minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, it's a wonderful state.

The things I collect are the toys, all of them and any of them have something about them I can appreciate, even the Manimals, and Star Brigade and everything else people typically hate on, when I was a kid that was G.I. Joe. I love those later years, as those were the toys I got for Christmas or birthdays. I also try to collect the comics, posters, and weird things with the G.I. Joe name on them. And not to brag but I have been lucky enough to attend Seven Official Conventions since 1999. I'm also writing my own Diostory and working on some customs so I love to be creative with the toys. Like Gyre-Viper I have a huge appreciation for the creation of the toys, since I'm trying to enter the field, and I own two sets of presentation art myself that I look forward to sharing with this community.

Anyways I hope to get to know more collectors, as I don't have know many people who collect myself, and I look forward to sharing my passion for this hobby with others.

Thank you and Yo Joe!

What he said - good blast from the past!

Glad you found your way here Tim. Good look on the career, and make sure to keep us posted on its progress.
