my name is Joey Kovacs

i started collecting Joe's when i was 3. first figure was Destro v2. from there i got enough figures to fill up that mail away flag with the waste clips. then i started seriously collecting when my brother, Notpicard, got in deep.

i quit collecting in college during the Valor Vs Venom phase and have been out of the loop for a few years. i've picked up a figure here or there from the 25th style. they aren't bad, but i prefer the original tooling.

right now i've moved on to a completely different project, which has been eating my money and time for a couple years now, but i still got a place in my brain and heart for these toys.

i look forward to contributing again and seeing what's up.

Cool, you joined.

For those who don't know, my brother here (I have two) is someone I go to regarding variations. When we would get in a lot of Joes, it was always a race to see who could spot some difference between two of the same figure. That friendly competition helped a lot in causing me to be focused on date stamps, years of release, mold reuse, and anything else that helps in the variation hunt. So a lot of the neat variations I like are ones he pointed out to me.

Welcome to the Stewart/Kovacs Variations!

There's another one? OCD police are apparently taking over.

Any brother of Patrick is a friend of mine. Welcome!
