I would love for them to be able to find a way to do a 25th Anniversary of the Movie Cobra La set, but frankly, I don't think it's going to happen. Gary even asked them about Pythona at the Con, and they said tooling doesn't exist, so it was financially impossible, and if they're not going to do Pythona, I'd just as soon they not worry about it at all.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Oktober Guard.

What I would LOVE would be an "Oktober Guard Vs. The Plague" set or something like that. It would be tough to pull off, just because there aren't a whole lot of troopers for reused tooling... but still.

I'd like to think The Plague is a subteam that the Collectors' Club could get into, just because they could probably use the same body for most of the characters, just use different webgear or heads here and there. Maybe that's a pipe dream, though.

Heck, it would be tough to do a good Oktober Guard set, too. First thing is many of the fan favorite members are dead in the Marvel continuity, and I think the Club adheres pretty closely to that. Secondly, the tooling could get tricky for someone like Horror Show, and if they're not going to do him, like Pythona, I'm not sure I want them to even bother.

As for Pythona, I'd kill to have her as a freebie or a subscription figure. And if cost is an issue, just use a Marvel female body with a new head sculpt.

If I had my druthers, I really don't want to cross pollinate between the Hasbro lines than absolute necessary. In other words, I don't want them to push out a Mutt Indy Figure and call him Billy just for the sake of getting us a Billy. I think the fandom tolerated the SDCC Cobra Commander, but people seemed to sour out when the club dipped into the Indiana Jones and Star Wars for the 2010 convention items. I like Chris's idea, but for the money we're going to pay, I want a Pythona done right that will fit in with our collections and not stand out as odd looking (or any more odd looking considering the character). The MU body is not a bad idea. Just MHO.

For those who don't mind the cross-pollination quite as much, I would think that we could get a decent base Pythona figure using the aforementioned MU female body with an Aurra Sing head, presumably either the Clone Wars version or the rumored upcoming Vintage version (*IF* Lucas would approve the use, like they did with the 2010 convention items).

As next year is, I believe, the 25th anniversary of the movie, I think it's as good a time as any to carve some Cobra-La notches.

That, and Cobra-La is all over my mind...I've watched the movie 19 times at least since getting back from Joecon.

It needs to be remade into a Broadway musical.

Oktober Guard would be a great election but not against Iron Grenadiers. They have enough roster to make the Set, the 2-pack and a vehicle like the one that appears in the issue #5 of ARAH comics.

Also, I would like to see more international figures in 25th style like Brazilian Tiger Force, European Tiger Force or Argentinian TNT.

I agree with Justin. I would love to see an October Guard set or Cobra-La, but only if it can be done right. If not, don't do it until it can be.

I'm voting Nightforce. Hasbro has already given us Shockwave (blast), Outback and Tunnel Rat (is there anybody else ... can't think off the top of my head at this moment). Crazy Legs is an easy repaint, hopefully Night Force Falcon is coming back soon, so we are only lacking a few characters, who, with some creative web gear combinations and such, should be fairly easy to put out. Add some other characters from the TRU VvV pack, kit bash some parts with the Jungle Viper mold so we have a truer version of Night-Vipers and then we're good to go.

Oh ... I do like the Plague idea, too. Those were some awesome, to-short lived characters.

I would like to see a set with several "new sculpt" era characters done in 25th/ME style. They have a cool story set up with the Stall family. So go with them and a few extra characters.

For the Cobras:
Black Out
Ghost Bear
Neo Vipers x6
Cobra CLAWS x2

For the Joes:
Barrel Roll
Bombstrike/shell
Crosshairs
Dart
Major Barrage or Red Spot

Maybe switch out Ghost Bear for Interrogator or Scalpel. Ghost Bear could be in a 2 pack with Nuerotoxin or RazorClaw or Scalpel or Interrogator. The Vehicle could be the Desert/Jungle Humvee with Switch Gears or Rollbar. The DTC Hiss with a Cobra Coil or Rip It. And as a special pack Agent Faces with a bunch of gear to "desgise" himself as diffrent Cobra troopers and named characters.

Michael
