Since it seems that I will never be able to afford a vintage Night Boomer, I decided to make my own. Thanks to a fellow Joebro and a couple of vendors at JoeCon I have picked up most of the parts I needed to make it. I am currently waiting on a small ebay lot to come in so I can paint the tail fins. I will be ordering stickers this weekend for it. Let me know what ya'll think of it so far. Thanks for looking.

Your grey on the wings looks a little light. could use a hint more green in it. Add a little tint to the canopy and You'll be spot on.

What is the best way to tint the canopy? I have an original Night Boomer myself but it has a Skystriker canopy on it. I would like to try to match that up better.

I would try a bit of RIT dye.

I've dyed a Raven Pod Canopy black to fit in my "Sky Avenger" Sky Raven Pod. It looks great, unless you hold it up to the light, then you can still see a bit of the base red showing as purple.

I am gonna experiment with a product called night shades made by vht. Its an aerosol paint designed to black out tail lights for automobiles(I work in an auto parts store...what can I say). I will test it on the extra firebat canopy that was the donor for the hinge I manufactured to make it a functional canopy. Once I get the shade I desire then I will duplicate the process on the real thing. By the way.....I understand ya'lls comments about the wings. The flash from the camera makes them look lighter than they really are. They are not perfect but they are closer than they appear to be.

If it wasn't for the one air inlet underneath wouldn't be able to tell its a custom. Looks damn good.
