Ok, got inspired looking at some two-ups out there and I've decided if at all possible to make it a quest of mine to own an actual ARAH 2up of Cobra Commander! A lofty goal, yes. Even possible? I don't know, that's why I'm asking you guys.

I would assume that Cobra Commander would be a classic enough character that the 2 UP would be in a Hasbro Archive vault. But I am only thinking of the 1st Face Plate version, there could be a later version (Battle Armor, Star Brigade, Battle Corps if you're lucky) but then again, I would also assume that the more popular the character, the higher the price so almost any Cobra Commander will probably be a lot higher than say Battle Corps Bazooka 2Up.

At what point did they stop making 2Ups? Were there any from the Joe Vs Cobra era or was that practice done with by that time?

If it's out there to purchase, it'll cost you an arm and both legs probably.

I'd first like to know too if they are all in Hasbro's vault or out there somewhere. Things can be bought, and as the Million Dollar Man says "Everybody's got a price"

I know that there is at least one version of Cobra Commander out there. I believe I heard of a second, but nothing was confirmed.

You will have a better shot finding a test shot than the 2up, and even then that would still be tough to come by.

How elaborate did you want?... Who owns it? I can not tell you that. However, it does answer your question to whether or not Hasbro has him in their vaults. Some versions of characters made it out, some versions may not have. The newer the version the more likely it is in collectors hands.

A lot of this stuff "disappears" once it gets out, only in some instances do they ever resurface for the public to see. Joe Declassified and Joe Intel are two such sources that have a healthy resource for these.

And that's why I'm here

The only Cobra Commander 2up that I've ever heard of in anyone's collection (and I also don't remember whose it was), was the 1991 Cobra Commander with glider. It'd be badass to see a Star Brigade commander. I'm sure some of the big time 2up collectors on here might be able to shed some more light on what's known. But even they were able to do that, bear in mind that the likelihood of any of them ever going up for sale is very unlikely.
