Hey guys. I've emailed you several times before, but then I hear "Listener Mail Episode" followed by Gary whispering "mailbag" seductively into the collective ear of the fandom, and I cant resist putting in my two cents.
I thought it was awesome having Will on the show. As a combat veteran myself, I know that the percentage of GI joe fans with prior or current military service is pretty high for what is supposedly a childrens toy line. Just an idea, it might be cool to have other military fans on the show as well, maybe reserving a 5th spot on the show some weeks for a militaty fan, so we can learn about him/her (who am I kidding? HIM) and give proper acknowledgement to all the crap we all had/have to go through.
As a discussion point: My own combat experiences difffers from Will's in 180 degrees. It is often forgotten that the Phillipines is a HOTBED of Al Qaeda activity and support. Having been stationed there for some time and participated in actions against them, I know what the Joes in Nanzhao are feeling in the IDW universe. Hot, humid, wet weather, combined with guys trying to kill you out of every bush is not a fun time. My question is this. Cobra Commander has basically put the entire region on edge. Millions of refugees flooding across borders, causing all kinds of issues, for all intents and purposes declaring war on the UN, destroying millions of dollars of drugs, and finally bathing the whole region in nuclear fire. What do you think his end game is? There are three WMDs still unused, and the country of Nanzhao is for all intents and purposes wiped off the map, uninhabitable for who knows how long. What is the grand plan? Im curious to hear everyones thoughts...

Hi guys,
Retaliation is right around the corner and I'm really starting to get excited....however I was recently looking at the IMDb movie calendar for 2012 and realized that, just like Rise of Cobra, its going to have a pretty tough time dominating the box office for more than a single week: Retaliation opens on the 29th and should easily take the top spot, ironically its only competition is Magic Mike (where Channing Tatum plays a male stripper…imagine our embarrassment as fans if this movie takes the week-end box office instead…the HORROR!!!). However, on the 6th of July the Amazing Spiderman opens and will likely blow everything else out of the water. How well do all think Retaliation will hold up against all of the other movies being released this summer (especially since most of them are comic book or fantasy based films, therefore - in theory - cutting into its potential audience)? How much money does Retaliation need to earn in order to be considered a success, not only by fans, but also the general viewing public …so that Paramount can even consider doing a third movie?
Keep up the great work,
Vince
