I'd most like to see Hasbro give us 25th-style updates to the remaining characters from 1983-1986 that haven't been produced, and hopefully at least the 1987 characters that were in the animated movie. I would like to see POC-style updates to other characters, aside from Duke, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Destro, and any others that have been constantly rehashed over the past four years.

Now, realism shoved into that, I know full well Hasbro is going to inject the big characters (SE, Duke, CC, etc) - I'd prefer they would move these characters into a carry-forward status, and only release one version for a given year, and repack them if need be.

This is what I would like as well. Give me 30 figures a year, with everything showing up in at least two waves per year, plus internet refresh cases for army-builders, or army builders packed 2 or 3 times more frequently per case, and I'll probably be a happy collector. I am also a fan of the current card-back design, so hopefully the size/cutout will stay in some version.

Oh, and give me a few vehicles a year at decent price points, hopefully the new vehicles at $20 and $30 (Skystriker - yay!) will help out. Just please, no more mechs.

What I'm asking is "Where do you want the line to go in the future?" Me? I want the line to continue its current direction of new designs and new characters with throwback figures sprinkled in. That was my favorite thing about the 2002-2006 era.

This is essentially what I desire.

I'm more of a loose collector, but the more retro the card/package art is, the more likely it is I'll get one (or more) to open and one keep a packaged sample of. If POC action figures were on 25th style cards (with the old school-style or modified GIJOE logo and "realistic" explosion backs) I'd do MOC collecting again. I still plan to pick up Renegades ones to keep carded as well as some to open.

Speaking of, I really hope Renegades connects in all the right places and is able to anchor the franchise as well. I'm very fond of it, more so than any GIJOE interpretation since the 1980's. It seems such a labor of love to me. And I hold out some hope the sequel to "Rise of COBRA" will succeed in areas where its predecessor stumbled. Anything is possible.

I'd like to see some love or recognition for the better characters of the "new-sculpt" era. There was a lot of potential there that never got realized, specifically with the Stall siblings, Cross-Hair, Scalpel, Burnout... I mean, Barrel Roll was such a great character in his brief run in the DDP comic, and he doesn't even have a distinctive look yet. You can't tell me that there's nothing there to play with.

I'd also like to see a few more of the "classic" Joes redone in 25A styling. Airtight, Cover Girl, Footloose, and Lifeline come to mind. That list's a bit shorter since the Toy Fair (where Sci-Fi, Crazylegs and others were revealed), but considering how optimistic I am about seeing all of those figures realized, it may go back to being longer again.
