some of you may know through my brother, Notpicard, that i am building a Back To The Future time machine replica. in building my own, i've made a few friends and have helped build their cars. i just thought i'd share here some pictures that made my whole month.

i helped put that entire car together, but parts that i built entirely myself from scratch include the 2 black boxes that sit on top of the instrument cluster, the 2 sideways gold heat sinks sitting behind the driver seat, and the flux capacitor. i also built the remote control that Stan Lee is holding.

until SDCC, i wasn't allowed to say the car i helped build would be there representing Hot Wheels. now that it's over, i can show you guys some stuff. unfortunately i wasn't able to attend. hopefully in a month or so i can tell you guys some more.

for more pictures check out our company page on facebook.

So you're with Temporal FX then? You guys have a really neat business card!

One of the reps was mentioning how much more research you put into your replica that the restored movie 3 DeLorean that was at another booth at the con.

thanks :). we spent a while debating and designing that card

and yea, the Part III car that was there is a piece of shit except the hood box which was built by me and 2 other guys from my team. if i had to guess, you talked to Mark, but i don't know. i could tell you all about what is wrong with that car though. the guy who made it has problems and doesn't much care about accuracy since he thinks the every day person doesn't know that much.

we actually took a car that guy made and converted the car to be accurate. it took so much time and money to reverse what the guy did to the car that it would have been cheaper to buy a completely new Delorean to work with. nothing that was on the original conversion was done properly or accurately. it was sad. electronics everywhere and no fuses or breakers. big ol' fire hazard. so yea. we stripped it, filled every hole and started over.

i forgot to mention that the car was in the rap music video Look At Me Now. song sucks and is obnoxious, but seeing the car on there is pretty satisfying.

Sounds like the Delorian I sat in out at Kansas City. Supposedly one of the screen used cars, but the inside was in such disarray like the time circuits half hanging off and there were new additions like a bad 80's car phone and such. It was a little sad to witness

do you have any pictures?

the only screen used time machine in any collectors hands is owned by a dude named Desi. it's the Part III off roader car. i'm not 100% on where he lives

No pictures, it was definitely not a part III car (no huge tires or hood box) I believe it was owned by the designer of the time machine (at least that's what I was led to believe) This was also about 8 years ago

Great work. I thought you were just building one as a hobby. Had no idea you turned it into a business.
