This is where my collecting habits are moving towards....

I'm going to concentrate on Flint and to a lesser degree my other favorites.

I agree, that Destro collection is immense! I started wondering why there were so many carded dupes till I noticed tiny variations on most of them!

I was checking my ebay saved searches today when I realised I have a few small character specific collections but comepletely forgot about my one big specific collection....AWE Strikers!

I don't have anything on display right now, but I have plenty of BATS. For a non-completionist, non-army builder, non-MOC guy, I've got every US released version of the BAT and 3 carded versions.

Destro's always been my favorite GIJOE character...that's a collection of dreams!!!

Utterly amazing. I am floored. Literally. Like I have carpet burn.

I had to come back and gush some more: This should be on the front page of every GIJOE site in existence. There should be pics of your collection in the Destro section of yojoe.com.

You need to track down that childhood Destro Halloween costume with the plastic V1-style mask! I actually had one of those as a child!

You are very kind, Barefoot Jedi. Thank you for the compliments. I actually have that Destro costume. It is a very rare item. I know of only a handful of them. Here is a pic of it:

Shogi, that AWE Strker collection is sweet man. I'd saw it is AWEsome man. Vehicle focused collections are a great way to 'character' collect.

And you're right, all the Destros are different from each other, with variations, international releases, etc.

Is it wrong how hard I laughed when I saw that they altered the art in the corner of the box so that Destro's wearing wristbands and a sash?

Thanks for chipping in, Peter. I knew you'd love stoking the fires of this thread.

It's funny that they altered the artwork to include the sash, eventhough I'm pretty sure it's based on the actual sash that Destro wears :D

For some reason I've always had an affinity for Hit & Run. Without being too geeky, when I was 14 (back in '88) I was writing this cheesy little fanfic where it was the dramatic "deth of teh Joe Team!" and Hit & Run became the leader and top guy of the Joes, leading all the later year guys. Ever since then I've really been drawn to him, and have a fairly extensive collection of H & R items (if such a collection can be called "extensive").

One of my favorite items is actually the simple modern era Hit & Run from the Attack on Cobra Island for personal reasons, even though it's one of the worst figures in the 7-pack!

But yeah, I've got a bunch of stuff there, with the most expensive being the Target Exclusive parachute pack version, and also the ever awesome Alpinista, which is more common now, but when I got him a number of years ago, wasn't so much.

Unfortunately the items are all packed in storage at the moment (damn kids keep on being born and taking my toy rooms) but along with my Sigma 6 collection, that's at the top of the list to be re-displayed when time and space allow.

I love Hit 'n Run.

Was disappointed in the 7 pack version.

Here's a photo from 2006...The collection has expanded since then...but you get the idea.
