Here are a few customs I did a while ago, but I've been too lazy to post the pics until now.

Falcon:

To “preserve” his “unique” gear, I kept on his original gear but threw on Spirit’s webgear over it. That really helped to break the monotony and bare look of his upper torso. And since Falcon is shotgunner, that OCD anal retentive side of me also had to sand down the sculpted-on rifle magazines on the front of his webgear because those would be useless with a scattergun. In their place, I glued on a pistol holster taken from the Pit Commando vest to give him a backup sidearm. The final touch was to give him the new sculpt shotgun, since he was the most "deserving". ;)

Spirit:

I liked what Hasbro was trying to do with Spirit’s tattooed chest, but truth to be told, I’m not that keen on bare chested ‘Joes. It’s just too impractical when dealing with safety, field conditions, and weather. So to tidy him up, I painted on a simple black “Under Armour” shirt and added some white dry brushing to enhance his muscles and upper body build so his sculpted detailing didn’t disappear into the black of his shirt. I also added on a Steel Brigade Trooper holster, as well as the pistol and silencer. Like Falcon, Spirit didn’t originally come with a backup sidearm, and I don’t like that. I also figured as a scout/tracker, who better to have a silenced firearm? And that OCD anal retentive side of me ditched his dumb arrow rifle and gave him the 5.56mm rifle because that used the sculpted on mags on his webgear.

As a joke, I also painted a spare SM Spirit head’s bandanna red and added some quick paint details to his necklace and grenades to take the place of the crappy, fugly one that originally came on the 25th Spirit. (I also gave him his classic weapons.) The face flesh tone doesn’t match the arms, and the arms don’t match the neck, but in person it’s not really that noticeable. The head was such an improvement to me, I actually like this version.

Helix:

Given Hasbro’s former policy of using every mold at least three time to maximize tooling costs, I’m absolutely shocked we only ever got one version of Helix. Well, this is a new Helix, but ironically not using her unique body parts. The body was a RoC Scarlett that I had intended to use to make a female Steel Brigade Trooper, but I screwed up the paint and I moved on to a new Scarlett to do over again because I was so ticked off tings didn’t work out as planned on this one. Well, as it turned out, I was testing the practicality of using nail polish on figures (it works great!), and I painted her legs with blue polish just for fun. By coincidence, the blue was almost the same color as that on the SM figures, so I decided to salvage the body and make it a Slaughter’s Marauders Helix to break up that team’s sausage party status. I used real paint to give her the same light yellow/green for her chest armor as Falcon’s shirt. Both to match, and to add contrast to the darker green under it. I then gave her Renegades Scarlett hands (because the brown matched the SM team), a tweaked 25th Mainframe webgear, a pilot Scarlett backpack, and her original autopistols---but I had these commissioned in black plastic to be more realistic.

Finally, I threw on a spare Low-Light vest on Mercer so he could look like the rest of the Marauders in terms of coloration. (And if you look closely, I took off that bulky padding on Low-Light's right arm.)
