For example, are you a completists? Keep one of everything MISB?

I personally buy only the ones I want as opposed to being a completist, however if I like it I buy 1 to open, 1 to keep MISB.

Just curious of anyone else is OCD as I am:)

whenever a 12" figure ends up in a lot that I buy, I tend to pack him full of m80's and blow him up for fun.

I try to buy one of everything BUT if funds are tight I will drop the weakest of the releases. I also buy Sideshow SW figures and it gets expensive......very expensive.

I'm new to 1/6 collecting and am very much liking just about anything Hot Toys puts out(movie & video game characters), plus they seem to hold their resale value and climbing nicely incase I decide to stop collecting and sell. I have all of the main characters from Sideshows Joes but haven't gotten any of the troopers yet, I do plan on getting the Cobra Viper later this year. I also pick up a Sideshow SW character here and there, their Darth Vader figure is amazing!

I've been a fan of the big dudes since I was a kid. The yellow Adventure Team helicopter kicked butt!

Currently, I've got an extensive collection of custom (1/5th?) 1/6th scale Joes sort of based on the RAH dudes. I have primarily used Hasbro head sculpts and the super-articulated body.
You can see them @

I've collected many of the Hasbro re-releases of the vintage 1960's and 1970's figures. They look great on display. I'd like to someday pick up some authentic vintage Adventure Team stuff.

I had been buying anything 12" Joe new and vintage I could get and almost all the BBI Cy-Girl figures. Also alot of the early 21st C. figures. But thankfully I stopped and started to concentrate on 12" Club exclusives, 40th Anniversary, and Adventure Team. Still will pick up pre-Adventure Team Joes. But not much of new stuff. I have enough modern figures and gear. Kinda Glad the Sideshow Highlander figures did not take off. I love them and their great, but it was getting expansive. Have been staying away from the Sideshow Joes, though I may breakdown and get their Zartan depending on how he looks.

I'll pick up one here or there from time to time. Not a completist at all. Really the only 12" that made me almost be a completist was the Villians line from 21st Century I still have 3 of them now (Armed Terrorist, Matilda & T-Gore) Sadly I lost Matilda's trenchcoat years ago. The last figure I bought was ROC Ripcord. I then took all the armor bits off, added a generic green shirt from an old K-Mart figure and a beanie from T-Gore and now I have a Marlon Wayans 12" figure :D The only Sideshow figure I have is Evil Ash from Army of Darkness and that's only because he was $25 or so. I can't justify spending over $100 on any single figure
