Anyone feeling Kre-O?

Postby Nomad » Sun Feb 03, 2013 4:00 pm

I managed to snag a bunch of these at TRU yesterday. There unfortunately weren't enough to satiate my hunger, but I picked up what was available. Overall, I'm pretty happy with them. The figures have more poseability than Lego, but the construction still seems pretty sound. I think if Hasbro had gone this route initially instead of BTR, they may have had something back then.

Pictures so far...

My local TRU's has only gotten the check point alpha set in. I got it and was very happy. So, I ordered the tactical battle platform off of the TRU's website. I was upset to see that the blindbags will not be available online, so I am hoping they hit my store soon. I really want to get all the figures, but most of the vehicles do nothing for me.

My local TRU put Kreos on the shelf today. I was able to get a case of the blindbag figures, the jet boat set, and the dragonfly. I plan to have fun putting these sets together tonight.

Here is the identification guide to the single blind pack of Kre-O figures. One the back of the package, look at the sideway's number code running vertically on the right hand side. The last two numbers indicate what is what:

75: Alley-Viper

76: Ninja-Viper

77: Cobra Trooper

78: Crimson Guard

79: Dice

80: Jinx

81: Kamkura

82: Quick Kick

83: Rock 'N Roll

84: Scarlett

85: Adventure Team Commander

86: Torpedo

I picked up three more Cobra Troopers and two more Alley-Vipers this way. ;)

I dig them, but I can't see myself collecting them. HOWEVER... my son is a huge Lego fan, so this might be what I need to push him over the brink into the G.I. Joe collecting abyss. ;)

I love the Kre-o line. I really hope it continues with more classic characters and vehicles, cartoon and comic specific playsets, and some new stuff.
