Last night I opened the 1990 Electronic Battle Gear set. That's the Role Play set with Dukes helmet and gun. The adhesive on the sticker sheet had completely dried out, and all the stickers, even the frame part that you just throw away, had completely fallen off the backing paper. That's not a big deal. I could always find some way to glue them back on. But 2 of the stickers, including the most prominent, important one in the set, were GONE. They just flat out were not in the box. I took everything out very carefully. I checked all the paperwork, the stickers were not there. Looked all over the floor, doesn't appear that I dropped them. Over the years those 2 stickers somehow made their way past the flaps and slipped out of the box.

That sucks man, I learned that lesson on MIB toys back in the 80's when I got a Water Moccasin for X-Mas and there were two of the bottom half of the boat but no top (or vice verse, I forget which) To make matters worse, the Water Moccasin was sold out that year.

That experience alone helps me not collect AFA MIB vehicles :D

That is why you do not open vintage mib items. Just assume that it is perfect and complete in the box. LOL.

Buying MISB toys with intent to open is always a gamble. Years ago I bought both a Condor and Dragonfly, and both had sticker sheets that were worthlessly messed up.
These days, I deliberately look for sealed boxes that look like they went through the ringer, usually the contents are fine, but the price stays low... If I get burned, it's usually not so bad then.
