For those of you left a little cold by Zanzibar's plain appearance and lack of a shirt, here’s a quick and easy fix to give him a real fishnet shirt:
I went to Walmart and bought a pair of fishnet stockings. (I went with a pair with the larger fishnet mesh, as the denier is thicker and more durable.) I then cut off the toe cup on one stocking, trimmed off the excess fabric, then initially set it over Zanzibar’s neck to secure it where I wanted it centered. I then took some black thread and sewed the sides together to make a rudimentary shirt, and even fastened it to his belt to it would stay tight on his body. Then I cut a few of the mesh squares to give it a tattered and worn look.
Total time: about 15 minutes.
