In my quest for "completing" a Funskool collection I have found that many figures were created for long periods of time. Take for instance, Scrap Iron and Beach Head. Both were produced early in the line (around 1991) and also very late in the line (all the way up to 2004). Along the line many different colors of paint and body part variations exist among the figures that Funskool produced year after year. Here is a picture of Spearhead. I know that this is not all the different variations out there but it's a start. It seems that the earlier figures had a darker overall gray tone with black eyebrows but then switched to light gray in the early 2000's. The Quick Kick waist piece was used in the earliest samples found but returned on vehicle pack in figures in the late 90s (around 1999). This picture doesn't show all the detail I was hoping as some of the middle figures have some light and some dark gray pieces on them. Hopefully if time persists I will list the Ripper variations and a picture in the near future.

I like the one to the far right. The blue boots and trim never looked good to me. Take that away and you have a solid looking figure.

This is an awesome lineup. I have never seen either Quick Kick waist. that one on the right of course makes me drool.

I'll have to dig mine out and see where he falls on the spectrum.

I can't believe that there are that many variations on that figure. Honestly, the only one I ever knew about was the gold/black one.

And for Patrick to be drooling over a figure [the guy that's got EVERYTHING] it must be pretty rare. How rare is it?

Other than Spearhead, Blaster, and Psych-Out...were there other vehicle driver variants? I've only recently started trying to get back into the Funskool stuff I passed on back in the day. Y'know, when SmallJoes was selling them at $2-$4 a piece.
