Most people that know me know that I have spent the better part of the last 8 years or so collecting Funskool figures and vehicles. Over the years I have found that there are WAY more variations than I thought existed, even if they are minute paint differences or parts differences. Here is a picture of all of the MOC Funskool figures I have laid out on my Joe Room floor. I plan on also taking out all of the loose figures to create a tracking system of when the different changes were made (as far as the dates on the packaged figures). If anybody else out there collects Funskool stuff and is finding it hard to "complete" a set please let me know so I don't feel like I'm the only one

Sorry, but I do not collect these fake GI Joes. I collect Nilco figures! LOL.

Great looking collection. Is that basically every figure that was made by funskool, or is it just the rares?

Those pack-ins that you showed off. Are those the only ones you know to exist or do other collectors have them in their hands too? (just curious to the number of knowns, not really who owns them)

I've never delved into Funskool and I must admit some of those figures look really great. I may have to expand my collecting scope. Thanks for posting those dryhawk!

That's a VERY impressive collection! But, is there ever a way to know for sure when you have a "complete" Funskool collection? I'm guessing there are no records of all the variations produced.

That's part of the problem - no one knows. It doesn't help Drew that some of us throw our packages away before he gets a chance to look at the date codes

I think Funskool, for us regular folk, is a collection that really requires you to draw a line somewhere - what makes a variant worth collecting? I have a few myself that I have to hold up against one another to remember what the difference is, and often it's no more complex than the shade of paint.

Someday, someone should create a checklist of the major figure releases just so people know what characters were made, variation info could come later.
