I love the Steel Brigade figure... a nice homage and update to the original.

I like General Hawk, too, but that figure grabs my ear and screams "MAINFRAME MAINFRAME MAINFRAME!!!" into it.

Fantastic pics, though that Steel Brigade Trooper may want to check fire on his SMAW, as it's backwards! These are the only two figures I'm buying from this wave. Double bonus the SBT has a removable helmet.

I've never loved the Steel Brigade concept...don't get me wrong, it was great as a kid to get a figure of "me"...but I just can't buy in to the idea of G.I. Joe army builders.

BUT... in my dio-stories I've written the whole Steel Brigade in utilizing them as a multi-national third party security team, and so as G.I. Joe "liasons" and not strictly Joe team members, I've been able to get them more rationalized in my twisted mentality.

All that silliness out of the way, the Steel Brigade figure is awesome. Love the Shock Trooper base tooling, love the webgear they used, as well as the removable helmet. Fantastic update.

Hawk may very well be the winner of this wave in totality. I love the way the parts come together, and I'm really fired up to get another "field ops" version of General Hawk. My latest dio-story has been waiting for a figure like this, though I wish they'd used the blonde haired version.

Damn, that Hawk looks even better than I hoped. Great head sculpt, great gear and vest. Very cool.

And I'm definitely going to pick up a few Steel Brigade figures. The paint on that vest really brings out all the details. Wave 5 is so, so good.

I'm warming up on the Hawk still, but that SB is so awesome I can't wait for my pre-order to show up, so awesome!

The Hawk looks much better close up! I like the grey more than the green it seemed to be initially.

Nirvana's Steel Brigade customs still look waaaaaaaaay better, though.

I might pick up Hawk and use him as a different character. I doubt I get a Steel Brigade. Ah, well.
