Roll Out/Roll Call 3 Announcement - John Goode will be appearing at the show. John was the packaging artist for Hasbro Europe during the early 90's and created most of the European variant packaging for the GI-Joe vehicles as well as the amendments to create the weaponless character cardbacks for the Swedish market. John also worked on the Transformer brand for Action Masters and also created works for the Milton Bradley B Jigsaw puzzle range. This will be John's first ever show and really looks forward to discussing with fans how the changes in technology over the last two decades have moved packaging artwork from original works to digital.

As always, thanks for listening!

Someone asked on our Facebook page: what's that framed picture behind the Flagg? I thought it was a puzzle at first, but I don't recognize it.

Speaking of stories behind the preprod toys, I forget where I heard it but I want to say that Hasbro said that the Duke slit wrists were not originally planned but came about from the factory making them that way (I don't know if maybe there was a miscommunication or what)

So my hypothesis is that maybe Hasbro originally had the wrists planned to rotates at the shirt cuff, the Factory mistook the plans and made a slit wrist then perhaps Hasbro said the wrist joint was off by a 1/4" (or whatever it actually measures out to) so the Factory then made the cut 1/4" further down rather than 1/4" upwards where the sleeve meets the arm

Again, purely speculation on my part based on a story I can't find again to confirm and I may be remembering wrong :)
