Has there been any official reason given as to why T'Gin-Zu was redeco'd from what was pictured on the front and back of the Pile Driver? Has anyone ever see the figure used for the back panel shot?

I've read that it was a budgeting issue with paint apps, is that true?

(Side note - I just got a T'Gin-Zu with a rubber band that's about to break. How do I fix that on a figure with no back screw?)

Can't answer the question about why his deco was changed (and i've wondered that myself)
but as for changing the 0-ring you could carefully try the boil and pop method used on new figures. Heat up water (probably best to get just before boiling, but not actually at boiling) use tongs, hold him in water for awhile and soften up the plastic. Be sure not to touch the metal of the pan to prevent warping. Pop up and carefully use an exacto knife and potentially needle nose pliers to pop open the torso. Replace 0-ring and glue back together.

I'd be very careful though, heck I wouldn't even try it until the o-ring actually breaks.

I'm thankful that I've never had to crack any of my open. That said, revsears' advice sounds reasonable. Just...be careful.

As far as the deco change? No idea - but it's something we can research. I'm not going to BS and even hazard a bad guess.
