So this really cool trailer for "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" gets released last night, and you guys have... NOTHING to say?

Tough crowd. 8-)

Personally, I'm a little bummed that they decided the only way to leave the first movie behind was to kill off the entire team of Joes, but I'm looking forward to this anyway.

Sorry, I was wading through all the nonsense over at Hisstank looking for the rare morsels of insight.
So far I'm pretty optimistic about this new movie, it's tough to judge from a single trailer this early on but this could be a lot of fun! Random observation that stuck with me was how transport planes have a cool retro WWII feel about it which I prefer over the Howler transport, they look more beefy and rugged.
The movie seems to be going more in the Renegades direction with Joe on the run from a nation that is hunting them. I thought that was interesting as I heard that one of the reasons Renegades was stopped was that Hasbro didn't want to confuse customers with two story lines and was going to pick back up again after the movie, (don't know if it will now) which almost sounded like they were going to do something similar in the movie.
I have not seen any of Chu's other films so I have no idea what his style is but I have seen Sommers stuff before ROC and I did not have high hopes. I figured Hasbro saw something in Chu's work that lead them to believe he could keep the franchise going so I am going to stick with that until the movie comes out. And until I actually see the film it it's all speculation, so I'm hopeful but wary.
