Yo.

I've always loved GI JOE. It's always retained this allure for me... throughout my entire life. I've only been collecting since
mid '09 and in that time I've developed an affinity for prototypes and preproduction, not just to own but also just to acquire the very
knowledge of such things. And not just how they're made or were made but why. The social aspects, the history and archaeology of
GI JOE preproduction and the production process. Why characters do and don't exist... were and were not realized. The concepts
and the people and designers and ideals behind them.

As far as collecting goes, I basically try and absorb at least one preproduction piece from each Joe line and year.

I really do believe that the community can dictate the destiny of the Joe line, but I also believe that it has to respect Joe's origins in order to do so.

Eloquent and well-said.

It's Gyre's fault I started getting into canceled figures and prototypes.

Notice I said RESPECT. Not CARE. That seems to be getting lost in translation. I don't care about Jazz music but I respect it; etc.

It has been a very busy and ecclectic 2+ years since I joined the community. I'm sure there was a really good reason for the chick in the cheetos.
