Hi! I go by fireflyguy on the Hisstank, so I figured I'd keep it simple and keep the name here. My first Joe was Breaker, which I got for my birthday in December, 1982. Joes quickly trumped Star Wars for me because of articulation and accessories. I collected up until about 1989, and even though I was out of the game, so to speak, I would still look at the Joe action figures at TrU when I went in there with my wife to get gifts for my brothers-in-law. I got back into Joes in '07 or '08 with the 25th stuff. I'm mostly a loose collector. I'm not a completist at all--- I actually collect by character or those thing that I think are just too cool to pass up. I have a small ARAH collection consisting of figures and vehicles I liked as a kid or always wanted but never got. Most notably these include the TTBP (had), the Tomahawk (had), and the WHALE (wanted). I tend to migrate more toward the realism aspect of Joe, but if something looks cool, I'm down with it even if it isn't quite realistic. I've done a little customizing in the past. I'd say I'm average when it comes to customs. I've gotten into LBCs more lately because, aside from the collection that I display, I also have a collection for play. I keep quite a few Joes and accessories in containers, and whenever I get a chance, I drag them all out and mix and match accessories, pose them, make them shoot at things, etc.
As you can tell from my name, my favorite character is Raptor. Just kidding. I'm not all-knowledgable about all things Joe, but I love talking Joe and I love the nostalgia that it brings me. Glad to be here and nice to meet you all!
