Hi all, I've been floating around the various boards for a few years now. When i was a kid GI JOE was the only toys I cared to play with, my other friends had TF's, Star Wars, etc, but if it wasn't GI JOE, I wasn't interested! I got back into GI JOE because of my 2 daughters, they were constantly making me play Polly Pockets with them. (think small scale Barbies). I grew tired of having to play the boy Polly, always having to get married, or rescue the damsel. One day out shopping I noticed the Joe 5 pack sitting in the window of a comic store, I bought it for the nostalgia and figured when the girls wanted to play I could be the Joes and attack the Pollies! That didn't last for long...."What do you mean Gung-ho can't shoot that Polly?"........."They got married? When did that happen?"....."dang it!"
My oldest was all for the war games though, but alas I was sadly outnumbered! As Hasbro released more i found myself buying them to increase my army, after awhile I realized I was buying them to collect more than play with my kids! Thats when i went crazy, buying vintage vehicles to go with the 25th figures. Soon amassed quite a collection, but Hasbro wasn't releasing some of my favorite figures so I began making them myself, 3 years later and I've probably done about 200 customs. I'm anal about my customs though, they have to look as accurate to their ARAH counterparts as I can get em, every detail. If I can't make the custom accurate I won't do it, at least until my skill set or part options improve enough to allow for that level of accuracy.

Hoping to make some new friends here who share the same love for GI JOE.
