As someone who was uneducated in the area of variations & errors, I REALLY enjoyed this episode. Over the last year or two I've started to re-evaluate my opinion of them after speaking to some people who are passionate & knowledgeable about such things. Prior to this I was definitely in the "who cares" category. Great, Gung-Ho's hat changed...whatever. But once you hear someone like Notpicard or Tolan share about WHY these things are important I think it opens up another avenue of collecting & understanding that I would have missed out on. One of the things that have grown to love about collecting Joes has been the whole process from start to finish of producing a figure. I think that trying to have a basic understanding all of the different facets of the brand has added tremendous value to my collecting and passion for Joes. Seeing how variations can sometimes show business or design decisions or changes due to consumer feedback tells me a lot about the process. I know that may not interest everyone but to someone like me who wants to soak up as much Joe knowledge as possible it's huge. I have developed a new appreciation for this topic and the guys who are putting in the time & work for a community who isn't always thankful.
So thanks & thanks for another great episode.
