Having just updated my computer and thus joining the 21st century a thought occurred to me. As you might know there are a few great pod-casts out there about Transformers but not many, if at all for GI Joe; this is not right. Here's my thought; if you have Skype and would be interested perhaps we could get together and discuss Joe's, if it works maybe record it and put it out there for other fans to hear. There's a lot out there to discuss and I think it would be positive for the fandom.

Chad and the crew do a really good job and have set the bar pretty high...plus they are friends of the program so-to-speak.

It is far from a bad idea though. I've often though of a weekly or biweekly review of the Joe news podcast, but I couldn't seem to find the time to pull it off.

Yes and as I understand it they only do comics. I was thinking something a bit more broad, News, commentary, toy discussion/reviews. Basically a Joe version of WTF@TFW as that is the gold standard for TF podcasts.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think it is a great idea. I'd be down to be a participant and contributor for this if someone else wants to put it together.

From looking into it we'd need someone who could not only record but edit the podcast. Apparently recording straight Skype chats without doing some processing to them causes audio issues. The person who records and edits doesn't necessarily need to moderate. We'd also need a place to post them; I don't use Itunes so I don't know if they charge to post stuff and link to the content. A general format I came up with is:

Opening story
Images from the web/other news
What new Joes we got/(mini review type stuff)
focus on one particular character/this week in history.

I must be the only person in the world that doesn't like Podcasts. I have never listened to a single one. I like reading.

there are a lot of people who have brought up the idea before but no one goes forward with it and implements it. I know Pitviper from hisstank came really close to making something happen. As I've said in the past, I'm always up for it if someone's down to make a show. My skype is phil_linley if you wanted to give me a ring.

We've been thinking of doing something like it on the Pryde for comics.

But I probably wouldn't do any speaking parts. No one can understand me over a recording.
